Siem Reap has witnessed a huge increase in the number and quality of hotels and guesthouses over the last few years. With improved regional air and land communications the city is fast becoming a major regional tourist and MICE destination, and the range of accommodation on offer reflects this.
Backpackers are well catered for by a number of good value, budget guesthouses, while the international jet-set will feel equally at home being able to choose from a wide range of super-luxury hotels and resorts.
Mid-range hotels and guesthouses abound, many offering pretty good value for money. In fact, all budgets are catered for, often in some style, in Siem Reap.
Worth checking out is the Siem Reap Angkor Hotel and Guesthouse Association portal, http://www.angkorhotels.org/ which has good information on member hotels and guesthouses. The association is a non-profit making organisation devoted to improving the tourist industry in Cambodia.
