Siem Reap's rapid doesn't share Phnom Penh's reputation as a late nite revellers' destination. That's probably a good thing as visitors generally need all the energy they can muster for the exhausting business of exploring the temples and seeing the sights. That said, there is a growing number of decent (and good value) venues scattered around town, with the main concentration being along "Pub Street" close to Siem Reap's Old Market. The huge number of up-scale and mid-range hotels around town also offer a selection of very pleasant bars, many featuring live-entertainments and daily happy-hours making these venues somewhat more affordable to non-resident visitors. Three of the best in our opinion are The Elephant Bar at the Raffles Grand Hotel, L'Explorateur at the Victoria Angkor Hotel and of course the FCC Angkor (pictured above). The city is also home to several beer gardens offering good value and change of scene, and just a few night clubs including the popular W club at the Sofitel Resort & Spa.
