Sir Bobby Charlton to visit Cambodia |
English footballing legend Sir Bobby Charlton will pay a visit to
Cambodia next month to participate in a landmine victim awareness
programme, a spokesman from the country's national football
federation said Saturday.
The Football Federation of Cambodia spokesman said Charlton had
confirmed a visit for July, but no exact dates and schedule had yet
been agreed on.
Until his retirement in 1973, Charlton was known as a fearsome goal
scorer for both Manchester United and England but is possibly best
remembered for his performance in England's legendary World Cup
victory in 1966.
