Dalat

Near and Far
Cat Tien National Park
Easily accessible from Dalat, this lush wilderness is home to the extremely rare Javan rhinoceros, bear, leopards and a recent discovery - the gaur.

Datania Falls

5km south of the city, these 20m falls are deep and beautiful. This is believed to be a bathing place for nymphs, hence the small Tien (Fairy) spring.

Pong Gua Falls
Just 50km from Dalat, the Pong Gua Falls are considered possibly the most impressive waterfalls in Vietnam - possibly even the region.

Mt. Langbion

Also named Lam Vien, the mountain is 12km north of Dalat and 2,163m high. Langbian is home to the Lat and Chil ethnic minorities.

Da Nhin Lake

Just 40km from the city, this beautiful lake looks natural enough, but it was in fact created following the construction of a hydro-electric generating plant.

Golf in Dalat
Vietnam's first golf course was created in Dalat by the country's last Emperor, Boa Dai. It has now been completely restored and renovated to international competition standard.

Dambri Waterfall
The highest falls in the region, impressive and moving. Well worth a visit.

Dankia Lake

At the foot of Mt. Langbian, the lake is 20km north of the city, an apparently ideal place for ethnographers

Prenn Falls

Impressive 10-metre waterfall plunging into a misty, flpwer-filled valley full at the foot of Mt Prenn.
