Toul Sleng Museum - S-21

Formerly the Tuol Svay Prey High School, named after a Royal ancestor of King Norodom Sihanouk, the five school buildings were used by the Khmer Rouge as an interrogation centre and prison from 1975 who renamed the complex "Security Prison 21" (S-21). Although a somewhat harrowing experience, a visit to S-212 is a must do on any itinerary as it truly sets in perspective the everyday horrors of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime.
