Phuket - Tropical Paradise |
Serene sunsets, seemingly endless golden beaches, luxurious tropical resorts and hotels, a rich and varied cuisine, activities galore both on land and in the water, rejuvenating spas and a vibrant nightlife - who could ask for more in a holiday destination? The scenery surrounding the city is almost magical - valleys of terraced rice-paddy, lush forested hills and jungle. The city itself is very attractive, especially after arriving from Bangkok, with some beautiful buildings and temples in a picturesque riverside setting. |

Chiang Rai - Golden Gateway |
Chiang Rai is Thailand's northernmost province bordered by Burma and Laos, forming the famous "Golden Triangle". The terrain surrounding the town is mainly mountainous and forested, and is populated with hill tribes, making Chiang Rai an ideal base for trekking. It is much smaller than Chiang Mai, and the pace of life here is much slower, more laid back. Contrast the town with Bangkok and you feel as though you're in a completely different country. |
