Vietnam to organise Miss Vietnam International |

Vietnam's Tien Phong and Thanh Nien newspapers, VTV, and Vinpearl Stock Company will jointly organise Miss Vietnam International to commemorate Vietnam joining the WTO in 2007.
The purpose of the competition is to celebrate the beauty of Vietnamese women living in and outside Vietnam, encourage young people to strive for beauty steeped in national and cultural values, as well as provide Vietnamese youth in and out of Vietnam with a chance to return to their national roots, strengthen solidarity and contribute to the development of the country.
All single Vietnamese women from 18 to 27 years of age with a high school diploma are eligible. Candidates must be at least 1m60 in height, and have never been through plastic surgeries or sex-change operations. Vietnamese women living outside Vietnam must be able to speak Vietnamese and have a Vietnamese grandparent or parent.
Candidates will go through 3 rounds of competition and the grand prize will be US$5,000 plus a tour in or out of Vietnam.
Application documents from candidates with Vietnamese citizenship will be received at Tien Phong Newspaper, 15 Ho Xuan Huong, Hanoi or 384 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, District 3, HCM City from April 20 to August 15, 2007.
